Empower your Field Service Engineers to expose onsite PLCs and industrial controllers to remote experts — instantly and securely. No permanent network changes required.
How it works
Maemuki Bridge works alongside your existing VPN. No IT tickets, no firewall exceptions at the customer site.
The field engineer connects their laptop to the customer's local network and verifies they can reach the PLC.
Launch the app, select the target device, set the listen port, and start the proxy — it takes under a minute.
The remote expert connects through the VPN to the FSE laptop address as if the PLC were on their own network.
Key benefits
Designed for FSEs who need results fast — not IT projects that take weeks.
Works entirely through the FSE laptop. Customer site infrastructure stays untouched.
Modbus, EtherNet/IP, and any TCP-based protocol passes through unchanged.
Ping and port verification before starting the forward — know it works before the office engineer tries.
Forward several PLCs at once, each on its own port, from the same laptop session.
Clean UI with Start menu shortcut. No command line, no complex configuration required.
See incoming frames in real time — immediately know if packets from the office are arriving.
VPN setup
Maemuki Bridge works over any VPN. We recommend Tailscale — free, zero-config, and built on WireGuard. The FSE laptop must run Windows.
Go to tailscale.com and sign up with Google, Microsoft, or GitHub. The free plan supports up to 100 devices — more than enough.
Run on each device after installing the client to authenticate and join the network.
In the Tailscale admin console, click ⋮ on your machine → Share → enter the office engineer's email → Send invite. They accept via the email link.
Confirm the shared device appears with tailscale status. Then launch Maemuki Bridge on the FSE laptop — the office engineer connects using the FSE's Tailscale IP.
Run on the office engineer's machine to confirm the FSE laptop is visible and reachable.
Pricing
All plans include unlimited connections and simultaneous sessions. Pay per seat.
